Hendersonville Ballet has been performing this full-length ballet annually since 2019 (with the exception of 2020 and 2021 due to COVID). Each performance is unique, and the choreographers and dancers have worked hard to improve the show each year. Last year's "Nutcracker" included a full "Snow Scene," and also featured alumni dancers Liv and Xavier Cacanindin as Sugar Plum and Cavalier.
Hendersonville Ballet dancers are already getting excited to work on the famous dances of "The Nutcracker," and we hope you will consider joining us to see the fruits of their labor!

Nutcracker Facts:
The Nutcracker is Tchaikovsky's third ballet (Sleeping Beauty and Swan Lake are the first 2).
It was first performed in December of 1892 at St. Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre.
The Story of the Nutcracker was written by Alexandre Dumas and is an adaptation of E.T.A Hoffman's The Nutcracker and The Mouse King.
Since the 1960s, "The Nutcracker" has been danced by countless ballet companies, especially in North America.
The music from "The Nutcracker" is used in many films, especially Christmas-related movies.
